Lorenzo Albano

Lorenzo Albano has a strong background in data engineering and machine learning. Lorenzo currently holds the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Ultimate, where they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Ultimate starting in September 2022. Before joining Ultimate, they worked at Kaleyra as a Lead Data Engineer from February 2021 to September 2022. Lorenzo also has experience at Agile Lab as a Data Engineer from November 2019 to February 2021, at Cuebiq as a Data Engineer from March 2017 to November 2019, and at YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP as a Data Engineer from April 2016 to March 2017. Lorenzo began their career as a Back End Engineer at InfoCert from April 2015 to March 2016 and previously worked as a PHD Student at Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia from January 2014 to April 2015. Lorenzo began their professional career as a Software Engineer at DataRiver from April 2013 to March 2015 and as a Software Developer Intern at Green Bit Spa from January 2010 to May 2010.

Lorenzo Albano obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Salerno from 2006 to 2010. Lorenzo then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they briefly attended the University of North Texas to study Natural Language Processing, although they did not obtain a degree in this field. Additionally, Lorenzo Albano obtained two additional certifications: MUMIA (Multilingual and Multifaceted Interactive Information Access) Training School on Information Retrieval from IC1002 COST Action MUMIA in July 2014, and Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2014.
