Ken Lane has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Ken started their career as a Software Engineer at Orion Telescopes, where they worked on Unix-based database code and developed an external website for online orders. Subsequently, Ken worked as a 3D SGI-Unix C++ Programmer at Haptek. Ken then founded their startup company, Virtual Alchemy Studios, where they served as the CTO and Director of Technology, working on projects for clients such as Intel and Motorola. Ken continued their career as a Principal Engineer at NxView Technologies, where they authored patents and developed real-time code modules. Ken then joined 3001AD, LLC as the Director of Game Development, where they designed and built virtual reality video games. Ken later joined 3Dsolve, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually became the Director of Development, working on advanced 3D training and simulation software for the US military. Following that, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Dev Analyst Staff and later as a Software Engineering Manager, leading teams and managing multiple projects. Ken then joined GSE Systems as a Technology Lead, where they developed 3D visualization and training software for the electrical power generation industry. In 2015, they joined Tanjo Inc. as the Chief Technology Officer, steering the technology of several machine-learning-powered cloud services and websites. Currently, Ken is serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Ultisim. Overall, Ken Lane has consistently demonstrated their expertise in technology development and leadership throughout their career.

Ken Lane received their Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience with a focus on Simulation & Artificial Intelligence from Davidson College in 1994. In 2007, they completed an Executive Leadership One Week Program in Business Administration and Management at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business. In 1992, Ken participated in a Semester Field Biology Program in Marine Biology and Social Ecology at The School for Field Studies. Prior to college, Ken attended Carolina Friends School from 1987 to 1989.
