Tim Dao (E.I.T) has extensive work experience in various engineering and inspection roles. Tim started working at NVI, LLC (Nondestructive Visual Inspection) in 2009 as an NDT Technician. In this role, they performed ferrite testing, positive material identification (PMI), and processed industrial x-ray film of piping welds. Tim worked at NVI until November 2012.
In 2018, Tim joined NVI again as an NDT Technician, where they processed and interpreted industrial digital x-ray film of piping welds for ASME code B31.3 or API 1104. Tim also performed magnetic particles testing and liquid dye penetrant inspection on fillet welds. Tim worked at NVI until July 2019.
Since 2022, Tim has been working at Ultra Clean Technology as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Tim Dao (E.I.T) earned their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans, completing their studies from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, in 2009, they attended Lousisana Technical College (Ascension Campus) for nondestructive testing, but did not obtain a degree. In addition to their education, Tim has acquired several certifications, including Engineering in Training from the NCEES in April 2017, Industrial Radiography Certification from the Department of the Environment Quality in August 2018, Water Survival T-HUET 5195 from Falck Safety Services (US) in May 2018, and Qualified Rigger from Safety & Training Consultants, Inc. in April 2018. Tim also possesses a Twic card, though the institution and dates of obtaining are not provided.
