Osman Ciğeroğlu, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the medical field. Osman has held various roles in reputable companies, including Ultragenyx, Lundbeck, Merck, Pfizer, Abbott, and Merck Sharp & Dohme.

In their most recent role at Ultragenyx, Dr. Ciğeroğlu serves as the Senior Director of Medical Affairs. Prior to this, they worked at Lundbeck as the Senior Medical Director of Medical Affairs, Neurology, where they led a team responsible for Vyepti® medical strategy. At Merck, they held the position of Director of Medical Affairs, Neuroscience & Chronic Cough, where they were involved in medical consulting, review of promotional materials, and label updates for Belsoma® and Lyfnua®. Additionally, they spearheaded a project to review and discontinue legacy products.

During their tenure at Pfizer, Dr. Ciğeroğlu held multiple roles, including Senior Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs Lead, Pain Portfolio, Regional Medical Affairs Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Manager, Senior Medical Manager, and Medical Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for various medical strategies, KOL engagement, educational programs, and product launches.

Before joining Pfizer, Dr. Ciğeroğlu worked at Abbott as the Medical & Regulatory Manager for Nutrition Products, where they led a team responsible for regulatory and medical functions. At Merck Sharp & Dohme, they served as a Medical Advisor for Cardiovascular Products.

Dr. Ciğeroğlu began their career as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Trakya University, where they trained medical students and residents and focused on neurodegenerative and demyelinating disorders. Prior to that, they served as a Lieutenant and Staff Neurologist in the Turkish Navy.

Osman Ciğeroğlu, MD, MBA has an extensive education history. Osman obtained a degree in Medicine from Ege University in 1990 and then pursued further specialization in Neurology at Istanbul University from 1990 to 1996. In 1994, they also completed a Clinical Fellowship at UCL. In 2009, they earned an MBA in Business Administration from Istanbul Bilgi University.
