James Monaghan

James Monaghan has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. James began their career in 2002 as a Software Developer and Project Manager at MX Telecom Inc. In 2006, they relocated to New York and became the Head of Technical Projects and later the Product Development Manager. In 2010, MX Telecom Inc. was acquired by OpenMarket and James became the Director of Solutions Innovation & Consulting. In 2012, they joined TeleSign Mobile as a founding member of the leadership team and Vice President of Product Management. In 2014, they moved to TeleSign as Vice President of Carrier Products. In 2016, they joined Evernym, Inc. as Vice President of Product and in 2021, Evernym was acquired by Avast. Currently, James is an Independent Consultant for Tide, Interim COO & Head of Product for Umazi, Advisor & Board Member for Dock, and Principal for Various Ventures.

James Monaghan obtained their MEng in Electrical & Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge between 1998 and 2002. James also attended Trinity School, Croydon from 1990 to 1998. In addition, Monaghan obtained the Certified Information Privacy Technologist certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals in November 2015, and the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance in November 2013.
