Carmen Dunbar is a highly experienced research professional specializing in analytical chemistry. Currently serving as the Research Laboratory Specialist Lead at the University of Michigan since September 2022, Carmen previously worked as a Scientist II at ARUP Laboratories, where significant contributions included the development of an intact mass LC-MS assay for insulin-like growth factor 1 and the characterization of glycans on alpha fetoprotein as biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma. Prior to that, as a Scientist I at Omeros Corporation, Carmen focused on LC-MS characterization of critical quality attributes for monoclonal antibodies, gaining expertise in method qualification, validation, and transfer. Carmen holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology.
