Pavel Nagorny

Pavel Nagorny is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Michigan, having held various academic positions since July 2010, including Assistant Professor. Experience includes research in asymmetric synthesis, organocatalysis, carbohydrate chemistry, and total synthesis of natural products. Prior to this role, Pavel Nagorny served as an Associate Professor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from February 2007 to July 2010, focusing on the synthesis of the b-subunit of Human Follicle-Stimulating Hormone and the preparation of carbohydrate-based cancer vaccines. Pavel Nagorny completed a postdoctoral fellowship in bioorganic chemistry at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 2007 to 2010 and earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University in 2007, complemented by a B.S. in chemistry from Oregon State University in 2001.
