Beth Woodthorpe-Evans is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Press Secretary for the UN Environment Programme since November 2023. Previously, Beth contributed as Strategic Communications Lead for COP26 from August 2021 to December 2022 and held the position of Senior Media Relations and Communications Specialist at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) from November 2016 to April 2021, where responsibilities included developing global media relations strategies. As Head of Media at The Climate Group from March 2014 to November 2016, Beth coordinated media relations across multiple international offices. Early career experience includes working as an Account Executive at Weber Shandwick and serving as Student Union President at UCLan Students' Union. Beth earned a Master's degree in International/Global Studies from SOAS University of London and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire.
