Valentin Kao

Valentin Kao has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2019, they founded and managed a Software Engineering team at UnaBiz, where they created IoT-related web, middleware, and mobile applications. Valentin implemented code reviews and utilized agile methodologies through weekly meetings. Valentin also took on full people management responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and terminations.

Prior to UnaBiz, Valentin worked as a Fullstack Software Engineer at UnaBiz, where they defined scalable and secured software architecture for IoT using cloud technology, specifically AWS.

Before that, they were an AR/VR Engineer at VRTUOZ in 2018, where they developed the company's strategy using Mixed Reality and implemented a new MR solution for Microsoft Hololens with Unity3D. Valentin also contributed to the development of VRTUOZ, a cross-platform VR application for real-time multi-user 360-video playing.

Valentin's work experience also includes a role as an AR Engineer at Airbus in 2017, where they developed multiple Mixed Reality solutions based on Microsoft Hololens with Unity3D. Valentin also gave AR/VR presentations to Airbus workers to showcase the potential of AR/VR in their work.

Additionally, Valentin served as a Pedagogical Assistant at EPITECH - European Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2017, supporting the institute's educational efforts.

Prior to EPITECH, Valentin worked as a Software Developer - Intern at Groupe NEXEYA in 2015, gaining valuable experience in software development.

Valentin's earliest work experience was as a Waiter and Bartender at CHINA EXPRESS from 2008 to 2015, where they honed their customer service skills.

In 2012, Valentin had a brief internship at ISIS-MMP, a subsidiary of Groupe NEXEYA.

Valentin Kao completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Sciences at EPITECH - European Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2019. In 2018 and 2019, they pursued a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Project Management at Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar. However, Valentin dropped out of their Master's program in Advanced Computing at Tsinghua University in 2017 after pursuing it for two years. Prior to their university education, Valentin obtained their Baccalaureate in Science specialized in Computer Sciences from Lycée Ozenne, Toulouse from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Valentin also completed the Title of Epita Teaching and Coaching Program I & II at EPITA: Ecole d'Ingénieur en Informatique in February 2016.
