Marina Demaria Venâncio

Marina Venâncio is an accomplished Programme Officer at UNEP-WCMC since October 2022, specializing in international law and environmental governance. In addition to this role, Marina serves as a Steering Committee Member and Chair of the Early Career Specialist Group at the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, contributing to strategic policy development and program management. Marina holds the position of Vice-Chair on the YPARD Steering Committee and has been instrumental in representing agricultural development initiatives in Brazil. Previous experience includes roles such as an Environmental Law Specialist at the UN Environment Programme and a Biodiversity Policy Specialist at FAO, where Marina supported significant biodiversity and climate change projects.
