Aaryan Salman Zorabian

Aaryan Salman Zorabian serves as the Director-General of the Global Citizenship Foundation since August 2017, where contributions include drafting governing instruments and establishing the foundation in the European Union. Aaryan founded the organization to promote United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4.7, focusing on global citizenship education. Current roles include Global Citizenship Education Specialist at Dublin City University and Global Citizenship Education Youth Leader for UNESCO-APCEIU. Additional positions held include Youth Leader on Prevention of Violent Extremism with UNESCO MGIEP, CEO of Global Debates, and various roles in educational consulting and project management. Aaryan holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School, has studied Political Science at Uppsala University, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Mumbai.

UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU)

UNESCO-APCEIU(Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding) is a Category II Centre established in 2000 to promote and develop Education for International Understanding, currently regarded as Global Citizenship Education(GCED). APCEIU plays a pivotal role in promoting GCED reflected in both the UNESCO Education 2030 and UN Sustainable Development Goals. Guided by the UNESCO Recommendation concerning Education for International Understanding, Co-operation and Peace and Education relating to Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom(1974) and the Declaration and Integrated Framework of Action on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Democracy(1995), UNESCO-APCEIU seeks to integrate individuals, communities, nations, and international/global systems, as well as to foster a sustainable relationship between humanity and nature.
