Didier Vermeiren

Didier Vermeiren has a strong background in financial engineering and investment banking. Didier worked at UniCredit Markets & Investment Banking from 2005 to the present, with roles including Markets Business Development, Managing Director and Head of Business Engineering, Markets. In these roles, they focused on strategic IT projects such as implementing Calypso for various middle and back-office functions, as well as regulatory reporting projects. Prior to joining UniCredit, Didier worked at OCTANTI ASSOCIATES, INC. as a Senior Consultant in Financial Engineering from 1999 to 2004. In this role, they worked with various clients in New York, London, and Munich on projects related to pricing models, calibration algorithms, and risk management.

Didier Vermeiren holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Scientific Computing from Stanford University, obtained from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned an M.S. degree in Ingenieur from CentraleSupélec, completing their studies from 1994 to 1997. Didier also has an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Economist Education Fintech and the Future of Finance: Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Govcoins and the Payments Revolution" from The Economist in 2022.
