Selam Bekele

Selam Bekele is an experienced talent acquisition professional currently serving as a Talent Partner for East Africa at Unilever since December 2023. Prior to this role, Selam worked as a Talent Acquisition and Performance Advisor at TechnoServe from June 2022 to November 2023, where responsibilities included collaborating with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies and implementing talent acquisition initiatives. Selam also held positions at MMCY Tech as an On-call Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Manager, focusing on sourcing high-caliber technical candidates, and at Transsion as a Senior Recruitment and Selection Officer, overseeing recruitment processes. Earlier experience includes serving as a Junior Human Resource Officer at ABIG Investment Group, where recruitment advertising and applicant screening were primary duties. Selam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Addis Ababa University and completed a leadership and management skills development training program at Vision Ethiopia Congress for Democracy in 2017.
