Suhen Vanigasooriya

Suhen Vanigasooriya is an experienced banking professional specializing in risk management, currently serving as Chief Risk Officer at Union Bank of Colombo since March 2015. Suhen has previously held key risk management roles at MCB Bank Limited and Nations Trust Bank PLC, overseeing risk strategies for corporate and margin trading portfolios. Additionally, Suhen’s tenure at HSBC spanned various management positions, including Senior Manager of the Risk Analysis Unit, where leadership was provided to a team of risk analysts, and Manager of Corporate Credit Approvals & Recoveries, with significant involvement in corporate lending strategy. Suhen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Edith Cowan and has an educational background from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and St. Joseph's College, Colombo.
