Kristina Dahl

Principal Climate Scientist at Union Of Concerned Scientists

Kristina Dahl has extensive work experience in the field of climate science and environmental change. Kristina started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT and WHOI from 2000 to 2005. Kristina then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NOAA/Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 2005 and as a Science Communicator at The Climate Project from 2006 to 2007. Kristina also served as a Public Relations professional at Squirl from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2013, they were a Course Scientist at the American Museum of Natural History. In 2007, they joined Rutgers University as a Research Program Coordinator and later became the Associate Director of the Climate and Environmental Change Initiative in 2009. Since 2010, Kristina has been working at the Union of Concerned Scientists, initially as a Climate Science Consultant, then as a Senior Climate Scientist, and now as a Principal Climate Scientist.

Kristina Dahl received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth Sciences from Boston University in 1999. Kristina then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Paleoclimate, first at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and later through the MIT/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program from 2000 to 2005.
