Rachel Licker

Principal Climate Scientist at Union Of Concerned Scientists

Rachel Licker has a strong background in climate science and policy. Rachel currently holds the position of Principal Climate Scientist at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where they have been working since 2017. Prior to that, Rachel worked as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State from 2016 to 2017, where they managed the Department's relationship with the Global Environment Facility trust fund and oversaw the review of large grants for climate change mitigation and conservation projects. Rachel also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University from 2012 to 2016, focusing on climate-related research. Rachel's undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they completed in 2004.
