Quentin Varcoe

GM, People & Culture at Unison Networks Limited

Quentin Varcoe is Unison’s General Manager of People and Culture which sees him leading the Human Resources, Health and Safety and Training teams.

He has extensive combined experience in the energy and legal sectors, having completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Victoria University in Wellington after working as a qualified Electrical Inspector.

His practicing license as a barrister and solicitor lead to employment in insurance litigation in Wellington, before working for the Government where he looked after disciplinary management of New Zealand electrical workers with the Electrical Workers Registration Board – which subsequently saw him as a member of this Board.

Quentin joined Unison in 2009 where he has held various roles including Legal Counsel, Works Performance Manager, and General Manager of Operations for Unison Contracting Services, before commencing his current role in 2017.

Outside of work Quentin’s passion lies with his family, spending time at the beach and cray fishing with his kids.
