Josh Freed

Josh Freed is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in the airline industry and journalism. Currently serving as the Director of Global Response Communications at United Airlines since November 2020, Josh leads a team responsible for urgent and strategic communications related to Airport Operations and TechOps. Previously, Josh was the Senior Manager of Communications at American Airlines from May 2014 to September 2020, overseeing high-visibility projects such as the AAdvantage loyalty program and the introduction of new aircraft. Early in Josh's career, from January 2001 to April 2014, valuable experience was gained as a business news reporter for The Associated Press, covering a range of Minnesota companies and aviation topics. Josh's journalism roots began at Post-Bulletin Co., LLC, where reporting on local education and community news took place from June 1997 to January 2001.
