Ryan B. Butalid

Mr. Butalid has over 20 years of work experience in the areas of risk management, investment banking, corporate account management, remedial account management, insurance and retail banking. He started his career in Asian Appraisal, Inc. and Joaquin Cunanan (PricewaterhouseCoopers). He previously worked with Allied Banking Corporation for 15 years where he worked in branch banking, investment banking, remedial management, risk management and trust banking. He was also Head of Risk Management for Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) as well as Chief Risk Officer for SunLife Grepa, Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (SLAMCI) and its seven mutual fund companies. He was with First Metro Investment Corporation (FMIC) before joining UCPB. Mr. Butalid completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Economics and Masters in Business Administration (Silver Medal) at the Ateneo de Manila University. He is a Certified Treasury Professional.
