Raghu Menon

Raghu Menon is an experienced human rights professional with a robust background in advocacy and media. Currently serving as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since December 2017, Raghu has previously held significant roles including Manager of Media and Advocacy at Amnesty International India, Human Rights Defenders Programme Manager at the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development, and Advocacy Coordinator at Amnesty International India. Raghu’s expertise is further demonstrated through earlier positions at Nonviolent Peaceforce, UNICEF, and Doordarshan News, among others. Raghu holds a Master of Arts in Social Sciences with a focus on International Relations and Sociology from The University of Freiburg and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism and Media Studies from Delhi University.
