Valeriia Amitina

Valeriia Amitina currently serves as a Human Rights Officer-Coordinator and previously held the role of Human Rights Officer for Peacebuilding Fund Projects at the United Nations Human Rights since September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Liaison Officer for the Verification Team at the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia from January to August 2022 and as an Associate Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights from December 2019 to December 2021. Valeriia’s career also encompasses roles such as Human Rights and Gender Officer/Trainer at the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine and Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights. Additional experience includes positions with the OSCE, CrimeaSOS, Tricon International, Ltd., and USAK. Academically, Valeriia holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from Lund University, an MA in Human Rights Law from Central European University, and has participated in an exchange program focused on International Human Rights Organizations at Università degli studi Roma TRE.
