Fiona Hlavka is an experienced professional with a strong background in program management and administrative functions within the United Nations system. Since September 2021, Fiona has served as a Program Management Assistant at the United Nations, and has held the position of Secretary of the Programme Review Committee at the United Nations Office at Vienna since January 2012, managing senior level project approvals for UNODC. Previous roles include serving as an Administrative Officer with the United Nations Mission in Sudan and coordinating independent evaluations at UNODC. Fiona also has experience as a Special Assistant at the UN International Independent Investigation Commission and has worked as Programme Management Assistant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Before joining the UN, Fiona worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade as a Project Manager, focusing on management roles in five-star hotel food and beverage departments. Fiona holds a Master's degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Education from The University of Queensland.
