Julien Mpoyi Banza

Julien Mpoyi Banza is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) within the United Nations framework. Currently serving as the DDR Team Leader and Alternate Head of Office since April 2015, Julien Mpoyi Banza has been instrumental in designing and implementing DDR and community violence reduction programs, focusing on armed groups' dynamics and impacts. Prior experience at UNOCI from June 2007 to September 2013 included coordinating field operations, providing technical support to national authorities, and advising on security sector reform. Julien Mpoyi Banza holds a Master's degree in Peace, Security, and Conflict Studies from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Institut Superieur d’Informatique et Gestion.
