Christina Monaco has extensive work experience in the intelligence and geospatial fields. Christina is currently the Vice President of Programs at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) since December 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Ventures Officer at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), where they led the start-up of a new agency element focused on GEOINT innovation and acquisition. Christina also held positions as the Director of Corporate Assessment and Program Evaluation and Deputy Director of Xperience at NGA, where they led various initiatives to improve agency activities and customer experience.

Before joining NGA, Monaco worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), where they held roles such as Chief of Congressional Affairs and Deputy Chief Financial Executive for Operations. Christina also worked as a Senior Project Manager at the Defense HUMINT Service, overseeing technology acquisition programs.

Monaco began their career at the Office of Naval Intelligence, where they held roles such as Team Leader of Exploitation Programs and Foreign Liaison Officer. Christina managed cross-functional project teams and led collaborations with foreign partners throughout Europe and Africa.

Christina Monaco has a diverse education background. Christina obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian and English from Vanderbilt University in the years 1986 to 1989. Following that, they pursued a Master of International Management degree at the University of Maryland Global Campus between 1993 and 1998, specializing in International Commerce. Later on, from 2005 to 2006, Monica attended the National Defense University, where they earned a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy with a focus on the Financial Services Industry.

Furthermore, Christina Monaco has obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2018, they completed the GEOINT Professional Certification - Fundamentals (GPC-F) program offered by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. More recently, in May 2022, they received a Strengths Resume certification from Scoutible.
