Eric Gonzalez

Eric Gonzalez has extensive work experience in the education sector. Eric co-founded and held various roles at Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn, starting as the Founding Director of Operations in 2013. Eric later became the Founding Director of College and Career Readiness before taking on the role of Founding Senior Director of College and Career Readiness. Eric played a significant role in shaping the school's educational policies and programs.

Prior to their work at Unity Preparatory Charter School, Eric worked as an Education Policy Advocate at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. from 2010 to 2013. Eric actively contributed to advancing education policy reform initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Eric served as a Research Assistant at the Achievement Gap Initiative at Harvard University from 2009 to 2010, where they conducted research on closing the achievement gap. Eric also worked as a Program Director at MIT@Lawrence Community Partnership from 2008 to 2009 and Directions For Our Youth Inc. from 2004 to 2007, leading various youth development programs.

Eric began their career as a Program Coordinator at Directions for Our Youth, Inc. in 2002, where they gained valuable experience working with youth programs.

Eric Gonzalez's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from Purchase College, SUNY, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Later on, they pursued a Master's in City Planning (MCP) in Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2009. Finally, they completed their education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they received an Education Master's degree (Ed.M.) in 2010.
