Zhan Wang

Zhan Wang serves as the Global Data Protection Officer and Director of Data and Security Governance at Univers, leading initiatives in data governance, security assurance, and cybersecurity in China. With extensive experience at Amazon Web Services, Zhan spearheaded security compliance and audit strategies across the APAC and Japan regions, while also overseeing cloud platform security and risk management for China. Prior roles include leadership at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and academic contributions as an Assistant Professor, alongside research endeavors at George Mason University. Zhan holds an Executive MBA in Global Leadership from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. in Information Security from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
