Engineer 1 at Universal Matter

Nicholas Goodwin has worked in the engineering and pharmaceutical industries since 2016. Nicholas began their career as a Research Lead and Research Development Lead at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. During this time, they conducted full organic synthesis and development of conjugated lipid prodrugs for the treatment of pancreatic cancer, as well as full organic synthesis, purification, verification, and development of heterocyclic CR10 and its novel derivatives. In 2020, they joined AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.) as a Process Specialist and Pharmaceutical Compounder. In this role, they spearheaded the technology transfer of client processes, executed Engineering functions for all quality system elements, and developed and improved six NPI projects and one commercial product within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, they are an Engineer 1 at Universal Matter Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Nicholas Goodwin attended the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering. Nicholas also earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2019.
