Process Engineering Technician at Universal Matter

Tyler Martin has worked in various roles since 2018. Tyler began as a Nano/Micro/Macro Manufacturing Lab Assistant at Lamar University in 2018, where they worked closely with a multidisciplinary team of professors and graduate-level researchers on a wide range of projects pertaining to additive manufacturing and advanced materials. Their primary responsibilities included fabrication of advanced materials, including sputtered/CVD thin film silicon wafer targets, additively manufactured products, and metamaterials, followed by application based characterization such as nanoindentation and high strain rate testing. In 2019, they became a Visiting Researcher at The University of Alabama. In 2021, they took on the role of Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Process Engineer at Universal Matter Inc.

Tyler Martin began their education in 2017 by attending Lamar University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. Tyler is currently enrolled in Rice University, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
