Jody Eastland-Mba

Jody Eastland-MBA, CMRP, SSBBP, PM-LPC has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1997, Jody worked in sales before transitioning to a role as a Purchasing Specialist/Customer Service Representative at Hughes Supply from April 2005 to December 2006. Jody then joined US Oncology as an Account Specialist from January 2007 to July 2010.

In 2010, Jody became the Director of Supply Chain at MedAssets, where they managed the materials management departments at designated hospitals, oversaw service contracts and inventory levels, and ensured GPO contract compliance until June 2015.

From August 2015 to April 2018, Jody served as the Regional Director of Supply Chain/Purchasing at Tenet Healthcare, overseeing procurement for multiple hospitals and offices across four markets.

Following that, Jody joined HealthTrust Purchasing Group as the Division Director of Contracting and Business Diversity from April 2018 to March 2022. In this role, Jody initiated contracting savings and rebate strategies, coordinated RFIs and RFPs, and negotiated contracts for the Methodist Hospital System.

Currently, Jody holds the position of Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Operations at University Health, starting from March 2022. Here, they are responsible for directing all sourcing, procurement, spend analysis, and supply chain information system activities to support the Health System Supply Chain operations. Jody also ensures system-wide best value is achieved and maintained, monitors procurement activities for compliance and financial integrity, and leads the procurement of capital equipment, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and services.

Jody Eastland holds an MBA in Project Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which was completed between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, Jody obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (1994-1996) and an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Alvin Community College (1991-1993). Additionally, Jody holds several certifications, including PM-LPC (Project Management-Lean Process Certified) from the Management and Strategy Institute (obtained in January 2019), SSBBP (Six Sigma Black Belt Professional) from the Management and Strategy Institute (obtained in October 2017), and CMRP (Certified Materials Resource Professional) from the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (obtained in May 2013).
