Meruja Selvamanikkam

Meruja Selvamanikkam is a Research Assistant - AI Engineer at the University of Alberta since April 2022, focusing on developing a deep learning-based segmentation model for the detection of adenoid hypertrophy using 3D CBCT images. Meruja also holds a Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship in Augmented Reality, creating immersive experiences for pediatric echocardiography using Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Unity3D. Previous experience includes serving as a Lecturer at the University of Jaffna, where responsibilities included teaching ICT practicals and revising curricular programs. Prior roles at WSO2 as a Software Engineer and Associate Software Engineer involved implementing REST APIs and improving system efficiency. Meruja's educational background includes a Master's degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Jaffna, and additional qualifications in Information Technology and Software Engineering.
