Arpita Dutta is a Doctoral Researcher at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute since December 2020 and a Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland since February 2022. Previously, Arpita worked as a Senior Statistical and Data Technician at Stats NZ, focusing on data confidentiality and employing various statistical methods to protect sensitive data. In a contractual role through HAYS Recruiting as a Statistical Analyst, Arpita implemented statistical methods on sensitive data using R, analyzing data from the Integrated Data Infrastructure and Census 2018. Arpita gained experience as a Data Analyst Intern at Powerco, working with Splunk Enterprise to analyze live electricity data, and as an Associate System Engineer at IBM, gaining extensive knowledge in the Testing Life Cycle. Arpita holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Auckland, a Master of Business Data Science from the University of Otago, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
