Aula Alwattar Ph.D.

Aula Alwattar, PhD, FHEA, MRSC, ILM, currently serves as a Research Technician in Applied Technologies at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre since August 2024. With a long-standing academic career at the University of Basrah since September 2005, Aula holds the positions of Associate Professor and Lecturer, primarily conducting tutorials and laboratory demonstrations in organic chemistry. Additionally, Aula has been a Visiting Researcher and Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Manchester since September 2016, focusing on 2D ink formulation for medical and energy applications, wearable sensing devices, and proficiency in spectroscopy. Aula's previous roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow in Future Textiles at Nottingham Trent University. Academic credentials include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Manchester and both an MSc and a BSc in Organic Chemistry and Teaching from the University of Basrah.
