Celine Petitjean

People Development Partner at University of Bristol

Celine Petitjean, PhD, currently serves as a People Development Partner within the Organisational Development Division at the University of Bristol, focusing on the REF Programme and research culture in preparation for REF2029, a role held since September 2020. Prior to this position, Celine was a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Bristol from January 2017 to July 2020, specializing in biology, bioinformatics, phylogenomics, and the evolution of eukaryotes. Celine's postdoctoral training included a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health from February 2015 to January 2017, where research focused on the phylogeny and evolution of Archaea, and previously at CNRS/University Paris-Sud as a PhD student from November 2009 to October 2013, concentrating on the phylogenomics of Archaea. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biology from Paris-Sud University, a Master’s degree from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a Master in Genetics/Genomics from Paris-Sud University.
