Arnold Tabuenca currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of California, Riverside, where responsibilities include starting a new ACGME accredited surgery residency and collaborating with the UCR School of Medicine to develop surgical clerkships across multiple hospitals. Additionally, Arnold holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at Riverside University Health System, overseeing improvements in quality and infection prevention, with significant reductions in various infection rates. Previously, as Program Director of the Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Arnold successfully led the program through an ACGME accreditation review with commendations. Arnold's extensive education includes multiple fellowships and residencies in surgery and cardiac surgery, culminating in a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
