Tina Tran

Tina Tran is an undergraduate researcher at the University of Central Florida, focusing on video understanding and large multimodal models at the Center for Research in Computer Vision since September 2023. Tran won second place in the grounded vision question-answering task at the Second Perception Test challenge during ECCV2024 and independently designed and successfully defended an Honors Undergraduate Thesis on music recommendation, which is now part of UCF's STARS library. As a fellow in the Break Through Tech program from May 2024 to April 2025, Tran was selected from over 3,000 applicants to develop skills in machine learning and AI, collaborate on industry projects, and earn a Cornell University certification. Tran also gained experience as an AI Studio Fellow at Latitude AI, focusing on autonomous vehicle perception, and as a software engineer intern at Snap One, gaining familiarity with Agile processes and development practices. Tran is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UCF, having previously graduated with a high school diploma from Pine View School.
