Diego Pons is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in climate science and adaptation. Currently serving as a Research Assistant Scientist at the University of Denver since July 2023, Diego previously held the position of Assistant Professor at Colorado State University, focusing on climate adaptation. As a co-founder and CEO of CLIMA, an NGO dedicated to enhancing access to climate information in Latin America, Diego has spearheaded innovative communication strategies. Additional roles include Chief Quality Officer at Eden Reforestation Projects and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society, Columbia University. Diego’s academic background features a PhD in Geography from the University of Denver and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Universidad Rafael Landívar.
