Russell Kaurloto

Russell Kaurloto is the Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at University of Denver. Previously, they served as the Executive Director & Chief Technology Officer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and as the Deputy Chief Information Officer and Assistant General Manager for The City of Los Angeles.

Kaurloto has a wealth of experience deploying cloud initiatives such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Salesforce and Google Applications services. Russell has also overseen the transition of traditional enterprise IT platforms to cloud based infrastructures. In their previous role at The City of Los Angeles, they were responsible for developing the vision, collaboration and coordination of IT initiatives across 41 citywide departments. Russell also coordinated the citywide cyber security posture with the Department of Homeland Security, FBI and Secret Service through a state-of-the-art integrated security operations center.

Kaurloto has a long history of working in IT and has been instrumental in improving IT service delivery models to increase effective patient care. Russell is currently using their experience and expertise to lead the University of Denver in its mission to provide an exceptional education and foster groundbreaking research.

Russell Kaurloto's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership / Business Management from California Lutheran University.
