Mokaddem Hossain is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) since December 2021. Prior to this, Mokaddem Hossain was the Founder Director of Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies at University of Dhaka since April 1987. Additionally, Mokaddem Hossain held the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor at Bangladesh Open University from April 1987 to October 2022. Mokaddem Hossain completed a PhD from Massey University between 1991 and 1996, with a background in Sociology, Demography, Forestry, Environment, Disaster Management, Climate Change, and Rural Development.
