Aiden O'Connell

Aiden O'Connell is currently a Research Intern at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Law, working under Dr. Viktor Szép in the Department of European and Economic Law since February 2024. Aiden also serves as the Treasurer for the Honours College Social Association, where responsibilities include managing financial transactions and leading organizational efforts. Previous experience includes roles as Crew Manager for the Erasmus Student Network, facilitating an Introduction Week for international students, and various positions with the City of Barrie, including Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, Inclusion Support Worker, Client Service Representative, and Camp Counselor. Additional work experience includes serving as Office Secretary at Closets by Design and as Deputy Returning Officer for Elections Canada during the 2021 federal election. Aiden is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International and European Law with Honours at the University of Groningen, expected to graduate in June 2025.
