Andreas Hoepner serves as Vice Principal of Research, Innovation & Impact at University College Dublin's College of Business, while also holding the position of Full Professor of Operational Risk, Banking & Finance at the Smurfit Graduate Business School. Additionally, Andreas is the Head of the Data Science Hub for the European Commission's 2nd Platform on Sustainable Finance and has played significant roles in various sustainable finance initiatives. As Principal Investigator of UCD GreenWatch and a named supervisor at the SFI Centre for Research Training in Machine Learning, Andreas emphasizes impactful research. Further contributions include positions such as Visiting Professor at the University of Hamburg, inventor of a patent related to investment performance measurement, and co-founder of Sociovestix Labs. Andreas holds a Ph.D. in Finance and has an extensive background in finance education, with degrees from the University of St Andrews and Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
