Ezemenari Obasi

Associate Vice President For Research Administration at University of Houston

Ezemenari Obasi serves as the Associate Vice President for Research Administration at the University of Houston since September 2012, where additional roles include the Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished University Chair, Professor, Founder and Director of the HEALTH Research Institute, Associate Dean for Research, and Chair of the Department of Psychological, Health, & Learning Sciences. Obasi also leads HEALTH Equity Empowerment, LLC as Chief Executive Officer since 2020. Prior academic experience includes positions as Associate and Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia from July 2008 to August 2012, and as Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University from July 2005 to June 2008. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Physics from UC Irvine, along with training at Harvard Medical School: McLean Hospital.
