Rex Tolliver

Rex Tolliver is the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In this role, they oversee services to a diverse, multi-ethnic and international student population of over 31,000 and collaborates with the faculty to maximize students’ success. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs administers a budget of $127 million and over 1,000 staff dedicated to serving students in the areas of academic student support, auxiliary services, career services, financial aid, housing, student counseling, and student development.

Previously, Rex served as the Executive Director of The University of Arizona from April 2013 to September 2015. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management and operation of the university's housing department. Rex also served as the Fiscal Officer for Idaho State University from January 2007 to December 2008. In this role, they were responsible for the financial management of the university's housing department.

Rex has also served as the Executive Director of SMBC Housing Development Corporation from January 2004 to December 2007. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management and operation of the corporation. Rex also served as the Executive Director of Louisiana State University from January 2008 to April 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management and operation of the university's housing department.

Rex Tolliver has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University. Rex also has a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Administration from Louisiana State University. In addition, they have a Doctor of Law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Rex is also certified by the National Association of College and University Auxiliaries as a Certified Auxiliary Services Professional.
