Senior Climate Finance Scientist at University of Leeds

Kanhu Charan Pattnayak serves as a Senior Climate Finance Scientist at the University of Leeds since September 2023, focusing on climate risk analysis and financial impacts of climate extremes within the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment. Previously, from November 2021 to December 2023, Kanhu led a team at the National Environment Agency's Centre for Climate Research Singapore to develop climate impact models across multiple sectors. Prior roles at the University of Leeds included Visiting Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate, where Kanhu conducted research on food security in Africa and hydrological cycles in the Amazon basin.
