Jason Hughes

Jason Hughes is a distinguished academic in the field of sociology, currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department at the University of Leicester since April 2013. With extensive experience in departmental strategy, restructuring, and culture change, Jason has significantly contributed to the institution's academic environment. Previously, Jason held positions at Brunel University from January 2006 to April 2013, where roles included Professor, Head of the Department, Senior Lecturer, and Deputy Head of Social Sciences, focusing on external relations, learning and teaching, and postgraduate programmes. Jason completed a PhD in Sociology and holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, both from the University of Leicester.
