Manashi Ray

Manashi Ray is a seasoned academic with over a decade of experience in teaching sociology at the university level. From June 2011 to April 2023, Manashi served as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at West Virginia State University, focusing on undergraduate courses in Research Methods, Global Studies, Migration and Transnational Studies, Family and Society, and Sociology of Gender, as well as Social Demography. Prior to this role, Manashi was a Temporary Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University, where instruction included Research Methods, race and ethnic relations, and sociology of family. Educational credentials include a PhD in Sociology from Michigan State University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Population and Sustainable Development from the Institute of Social Studies in The Netherlands.
