Kieran Murphy

Trustee at University of London

Kieran Murphy has been appointed to the Board of Trustees with effect from August 2016. Kieran began his career as a civil servant at HM Treasury.

In 1988, he joined Kleinwort Benson, where he spent 15 years as a senior corporate finance adviser, culminating in leadership of the worldwide industrial sector investment banking business. He joined the corporate finance boutique Gleacher Shacklock as a partner on its creation and retired from the firm at the end of 2015.

Kieran is currently a director of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he chairs the finance and investment committee, and a non-executive director and audit committee chair at Aliaxis SA. He has previously served on the Boards of City University, London and Kingspan Group plc. Kieran is also non-executive Chair of Ordnance Survey.

Kieran is a graduate of Cambridge University in natural sciences and holds the piano performance diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
