Alan Barhorst

Alan Barhorst is a seasoned academic in the field of Mechanical Engineering, currently serving as a Professor and Department Head at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since August 2018. Concurrently, Alan holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Texas Tech University. Alan's extensive career at Texas Tech University spanned from September 1991 to September 2018, during which Alan progressed through ranks from Visiting Assistant Professor to full Professor. Alan has also held notable positions, including Visiting Professor and Program Coordinator at Texas A&M University at Qatar and a CINT Research Fellow at Sandia National Lab. Alan's involvement with prestigious institutions includes roles at Los Alamos National Laboratory, NASA Johnson Space Center, and engineers at Lockheed EMSCO.
