Brett Butler

Brett Butler has an extensive work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 1988, they worked as an Art Director/Computer Operations Manager at Associated Practice Consultants, Ltd. where they managed marketing divisions and provided custom practice management systems. Brett then moved on to work as a Production Manager at Handicap Sign, Inc. from 1992 to 1997. In 1995, they also served as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University. In 1997, they became the Director of Facilities Management at Allegan County, Michigan, overseeing planning, construction, and maintenance for county-owned properties. Brett later became the Chairman of the Allegan County Building Authority, responsible for acquiring and maintaining various facilities. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as the Association Property Director at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, managing capital projects and overseeing the operation of the school bus fleet. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Senior Project Manager at Progressive AE, providing strategic client and project leadership for various initiatives. Since 2016, Brett has been working as the Director of Facilities, Planning/Design/Construction, and Real Estate at the University of Michigan Health-West, focusing on operational oversight and strategic planning for all maintenance and construction activities.

Brett Butler completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in MACRAO at Grand Rapids Community College from 1986 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Facilities Management, Advertising, and Public Relations at Grand Valley State University from 1988 to 1995.
