Shaily Menon currently serves as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Initiatives at the University of New Haven since June 2021. Previously, Shaily held the position of Dean at Saint Joseph's University, where strategic priorities in curricular programs and innovative initiatives were developed. From 1998 to 2017, Shaily worked at Grand Valley State University as Associate Dean for Research, Facilities Planning, and Community Engagement, and as a Professor, mentoring students and teaching courses related to environmental ethics and conservation. Shaily's academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from The Ohio State University, complemented by leadership training from Harvard and HERS Bryn Mawr. Additionally, Shaily's research includes collaborative projects on Conservation GIS and international training initiatives in India and Brazil.
