Randy Bomer

Dean, College of Education at University of North Texas

Randy Bomer is currently the Dean of the College of Education at the University of North Texas. Prior to this, they were a professor at The University of Texas at Austin from 2001 to 2017. Before that, they were an assistant professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 1999 to 2001 and Queens College from 1996 to 1999. From 1991 to 1996, they were the Co-Director of the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. Randy was also a consultant from 1990 to 1991 and an English teacher at Keshequa Central School District from 1986 to 1989.

Randy Bomer received a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University. Randy then went on to receive a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from Teachers College, Columbia University, both in Education.

Ruth Lowery - Associate Dean for Graduate Studies & Faculty Affairs, College of Education, Caron Park - Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration, College of Education, and Alexandra Leavell-Carter - Associate Dean for Educator Preparation, College of Education report to Randy Bomer.
